On the eve of the 55th anniversary of the Great Victory, the book "The 100th Airborne Division. Ramenskoye - Karelia - Kalinin - Vienna" was published. It was prepared by a team of authors led by Colonel Nikolai Golyshev, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the 100th Guards Svirskaya Red Banner Airborne Division.

The book describes the heroic feats of the soldiers of the famous unit and tells about the division's combat path. A large section is dedicated to the work of the veterans' council, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary since its establishment in 1970.

"This book, dedicated to the paratroopers who crossed the Svir River and took Vienna, is needed by us, the veterans, and by today's young people, who will learn the truth about the Great Patriotic War from our stories," said Nikolai Gerasimovich Golyshev, representing the author team and introducing the book to a wide audience.
